About Dr Alhumaid
Alia Alhumaid MD is the founder of and sole provider at Evergreen Geriatrics, LLC, a private geriatric medicine practice located in Lake Oswego, OR. Alia was born and raised in Washington, DC and made the move to Oregon in 2011.
Alia’s interest in Geriatric Medicine began in her teen years after her grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. In more recent years, Alia’s mother has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Through her experiences with both her grandmother and her mother, Alia has come to appreciate the complexities and challenges associated with aging, and she strives to incorporate these sensitivities into the care she provides her patients. She has seen firsthand how overwhelming the task of navigating our healthcare system can be.
She also understands that good patient care starts with solid doctor-patient relationships, and that these are best achieved by taking the time to listen and learn from her patients. By conducting Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments, Alia aims to gain a thorough understanding of her patients’ health status and goals. She then works with her patients to incorporate evidence-based medical practices into individualized patient plans.
Alia completed a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Johns Hopkins University in 2010. She completed an Internal Medicine residency at Lahey Clinic in Boston, MA in 2009 after graduating from The George Washington University School of Medicine in 2006. Alia resides in Lake Oswego with her husband, three children, and mother. Alia worked in primary care and geriatrics prior to opening Evergreen Geriatrics, LLC in 2022.
Evergreen Geriatrics Membership
Evergreen Geriatrics operates as a membership-based practice. This allows Dr Alhumaid to provide each of her patients with unrushed, extended appointment times and comprehensive, individualized care. A yearly fee grants patients access to timely appointments, same-day responses, and a direct line to Dr Alhumaid.

Evergreen Geriatrics, LLC is a private Geriatric Medicine practice that operates as a retainer medical practice in the state of Oregon. As such, it does not accept insurance, nor does it act as a medical insurance entity. There is a monthly membership fee which covers access to the practice as well as routine visits. The practice provides the scope of medical services specified in the retainer medical agreement. Patients are responsible (and may use private insurance if applicable) for paying for all services not specified in the retainer medical agreement.
